Health and Safety Management Plan
Introduction
In terms of the Construction Regulations (reg. 4(1) a) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Client is required to compile an occupational health and safety specification for each of its projects and the Principle Contractor appointed by the Client in terms of the Construction Regulations (reg. 4(1) c) is required to prepare an occupational health and safety plan.
The plan has to be prepared in terms of Construction Regulation 5(1) as well as the Client’s occupational health and safety specification. In terms of Construction Regulation 4(2), the Client and the Principle Contractor are required to agree on the occupational health and safety plan before any work may commence.
In this safety plan the Principle Contractor will provide a detailed description of the implementation processes of the safety program developed for this specific contract.
